Deep-Sea Fishing in Belize

Fishing is awesome all along the coast of Ambergris Caye, Belize. Our island runs parallel to miles of pristine coral reef and offers extraordinary fishing flats, attracting more than just your average fisherman. Ambergris Caye is a fishing paradise where you can experience fishing like it was meant to be and achieve the ultimate dream of a Grand Slam of tarpon, bonefish and permit.

Ambergris Caye has some of the best fishing grounds in the Caribbean. Sport fishermen and tourists alike travel to Ambergris Caye to experience saltwater fly-fishing for a variety of bonefish. Also popular is deep-sea fishing in Belize for bluefish, wahoo, sailfish, mahi mahi, tuna, swordfish, blue marlin, and other billfish. These waters have seen some big catches over the years and are home to many annual fishing tournaments. Anglers will also find barracuda, kingfish, tarpon, amberjack, grouper, and snapper closer to shore.

Grand Caribe Belize offers both full-day and half-day deep-sea fishing charters which are done on our one-of-a-kind 32-foot Black Water Deep Sea Fishing Boat. Equipped with all the bells and whistles and built especially for the blue waters it is put in, while captained by the esteemed Captain Charles and his crew, this is fishing at its own level!

Captain Charles is as experienced as they come, having fished the surrounding waters of Ambergris Caye for over 40 years and being featured in multiple fishing magazines around the world. Each trip provides you with rods and reels hand-picked by Captain Charles to ensure you have what is needed to win the fight.

Costs for Belize fishing charters vary; typically the type of fishing and the number of anglers determine the cost. Half day and full day trips are available and should be booked in advance to ensure space.
